IBM Sterling Ecosystem
IBM Control Center Monitor Services
Monitoring, alerting, and event visibility across IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, and Secure Proxy operations.
Where it fits
What it provides
IBM Control Center Monitor collects events from across the IBM Sterling estate and applies rules to them: SLA monitoring, missed-file detection, server availability, and alert routing. It answers the operational question of whether the environment is behaving, and raises an alert when it is not.
Its value depends entirely on how it is configured. An installation with default rules produces either silence or noise, and both train an operations team to ignore it.
Services
Installation and upgrade
Deployment, database configuration, version upgrades, and migration planning.
Environment onboarding
Connecting IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Secure Proxy, and Connect:Direct servers so events arrive reliably.
Rules and SLA design
Monitoring rules that reflect real business expectations, including missed-file and late-file conditions tied to partner schedules.
Alerting
Alert routing, escalation paths, and notification design that reaches the right team without flooding it.
Event visibility
Dashboards and reporting for operational review and incident investigation.
Operational support
Ongoing tuning as partners, flows, and schedules change.
Monitoring and operational search are different problems
Control Center Monitor tells you that something breached a rule. Investigating why still requires searching file and flow history, which is where DIVE is used alongside it. The two are complementary: rules-based alerting for detection, searchable operational history for diagnosis.
Improve Your Monitoring Coverage
Most environments have alerting installed and under-configured.
